During this tour you will still visit the most famous sites of St. Petersburg that are steeped in history and culture, except that you will not rush through them trying to cover every room and inch of space. Rather, you will have time for a leisurely lunch between sightseeing stops and time even for pleasant conversation with your guide and fellow travellers!
You will visit the two most famous summer residences of the Russian Tsars:
First, you will travel to the amazing "Russian Versailles" - Peterhof - the spectacular park on the banks of the Gulf of Finland, replete with fountains, flower gardens, palaces and sculptures. It is a fascinating and grand place to see and relax in!
Next, you will travel to another famous summer residence of Russian royalty - Tsarskoye Selo - Tsar's Village. The crown jewel of this residence is the fantastic Catherine Palace, believed by some to house the eighth wonder of the world - the world famous Amber room bedecked with jewels of golden Russian amber. Catherine Palace is an unforgettable experience!
After the Tsar’s Village, you will visit one of the largest and greatest of the world’s museums – the State Hermitage. This museum houses an amazing collection of historical European artifacts, and is a veritable treasure trove of the Tsars. Arguably, it also holds the greatest collection of European Art in the world from Rembrandt to Picasso. And you will have the opportunity to see all of its highlights! Our guide will show you all of the Hermitage “gems!”
Finally, on this tour, you will also see one of the greatest architectural treasures not only of St. Petersburg, but of the whole world – the magnificent Cathedral of Our Savior On Spilled Blood. This breathtaking old Russian style church with its multi- colored enamel onion domes and fabulous inlaid mosaic interior will set your heart a flutter! A Truly Russian masterpiece!
During this leisurely tour paced over two days, you will see all this beauty and more, but with no rush and no wasted time! Of course, during our coach travel between each of the four main destinations on the tour, you will also experience several modern districts of the city which we will point out and explain. You will also see some old areas in the countryside with our famous datchas! We will also throw in a delightful hydrofoil ride for you, which will allow you to experience some modern residential areas of St. Petersburg from the water!

Would definitely go back and revisit Hermitage cause it was truly awesome. The best guided tour ever ! Strongly recommended. Careful guide Alex and skip the line tickets to all of the museums!

Really enjoyed this tour. Just long enough after being a bit jet-lagged the first day. Sergey was our guide and he was awesome! Funny, witty, and let us have the right amount of quiet time. We even managed to have a shopping stop for some authentic souvenirs. This tour was a smart move on my short visit to Saint-Petersburg on my own. I am so happy I did it! It was excellent. Great guide and careful driver while visiting some of all most interesting places in the city. Skip the line tickets is a great bonus.
Please, mind that this tour includes some moderate walking on ground of the Peterhof parks and gardens as well as the park of the Catherine Palace. Each passenger must provide their passport and the print out blanket visa (tour ticket) at the Russian Customs. The blanket visa(tour ticket) will be sent out together with the tour comfirmation. Wheel chair is possible, but there will a heavy sandy part on the grounds of the Peterhof to reach the hydrofoil pier. In case it can be replaced by a transfer by vehicle that will shorten the time of the tour for the wheel-chair at the Peterhof. All children must be accompanied and fully supervised by an adult. Refunds are not applicable due to the missed tour (late, non-arrival of the cruise ship) Land travelers will have to make their own visa arrangements.
