We did the tour with Mila on a rainy Sunday morning, and it was definitely worth it. As she said, he can't control the weather, but it didn’t bother us because we felt comfortable in our private minibus. We learned a lot about the history of medieval Riga and got a lot of good advices about what's worth seeing, where to get the best panoramic view, the best souvenirs as well. By the way: We're just enjoying local cuisine in “Uncle Vanya”. Thanks for the great suggestion, Mila ;)! It is a great way of discovering charming blossoming Riga in June. Mila is nicest guide ever with lots of tips and always smiling face:)
Our private car picked us up in the lobby of our hotel and we were teken to the Pardaugava - the greenest part of Riga. My husband and I enjoyed this part of the excursion so much.We really got a great feel for this area. Our guide Helen pointed out things that I otherwise would not have noticed. We learned a lot about Riga today. I wish we had time to go on the other tour with Helen. Btw, we also had time reserved for a shopping and a lovely coffee break. Thank you so much! Helen (our guide) and Matt (our driver) were very helpful, and friendly. Helet let us know from the start it wasn't a history tour but an introduction. We had just arrived and we like to do something to get to know a new place. We have seen not only the usual tourists places but the hidden gems as well. It gave us a good feel for Riga and how to get around. Riga is very charming, I enjoyed the history and grandeur of the city. Great tour and great city.
