Referred to as a “fjord city”, the local atmosphere totally lives up to the name with easily accessible shoreline upgraded from old ship yards to a chic paseo effortlessly connecting the historic centre to its natural setting by the waterfront.

We will begin our day of discoveries by taking some steps up to the striking Akershus defensive structure set perfectly on top of a hill for a bird- eye view over town below. As one of the oldest capitals in Europe, the fortress history itself reveals an excellent deal of the days once grand structures were designed to guard the city. From this medieval setting, we are ready to admire the scenic outline and harbors and therefore the center with the splendidly embellished town hall, home to Alfred Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. In a while we'll also take a tour through the lavishly adorned halls of the building considered the executive heart of capital of Norway. Created entirely of local material, the design presented inside is also the creation of Norwegian masters such as world known Edvard Munch and Per Krogh.

Our capital of Norway Walking Tour currently takes us to a more fashionable platform to experience the panoramic seventh heaven of Nordic highlands. The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet building could be a gorgeous modern addition to town skyline. We'll take a stroll on the distinctive top side plaza to explore the award-winning structure.
Thereafter we'll make our way to through the backbone of Oslo and walk on Karl Johan to determine such necessary landmarks as Stortinget, the Parliament building, National Theatre, the historic ensemble of Oslo University and will not miss the residence of the native rulers at the Royal Palace. The stunning park and palace ensemble complete with tiny lakes is found right at the end of Karl Johans Gate. A perfect venue at the end of a slope to take a glance back over the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of capital of Norway.

At the end of the walking tour, your local guide is delighted to direct you to the best of capital of Norway. Have some shopping on Karl Johans, enjoying a cup of coffee in a seaside restaurant or taking the rest of the afternoon exploring on your own.

We joined the sightseeing Oslo tour and all of us loved it. Even though we had been to the city before and thought we had seen-it-all, this excursion was the highlight...We learnt so much more abt the history and local culture than if we had walked around ourselves ,taking the same photos that most tourists would be taking. Highly recommended for everyone visiting Oslo to find an available slot and do this. Do give a generous tip to the guide as this is more than you can expect.

Without a doubt one of the best tours we've ever had anywhere. This is our first trip to Norway and we did the Tour on our first morning. The guide (the beautiful Lilly) put the city at our feet and in our hearts! We learned so much about the culture, architecture, and general history and the way the city is organized - the best places to eat, what to avoid, how to get around. With humor and charm, the guide enthralled us with stories about Oslo and helped us to see the Oslo that she and her fellow norwegians love. The guide was professional but remarkably sweet and funny, detailed, and knowledgeable. We had a tiny group so we all had opportunities to chat one-on-one with Lilly who willingly answered every question. Yes it was worth every penny! She never once hinted for a tip or gave the impression that it was expected. I can give my highest recommendation and suggest that you make time, to take this tour. Don't forget to tip if the guide does a good job! Thanks again!

I did the tour my first day in oslo, what a wonderful idea! I really enjoyed it. The guide was very informing, gracious, professional and answer to all our questions. This is the best way to see Norwegian capital and be sure don't miss out on the little details that this city has to offer. Summary: great guide, interesting stories, highly recommended!
