Both city center must-sees including the Hermitage and Winter Palace, Church on Spilled Blood, Neva River and Canal cruise, and exclusive Faberge museum in the Shuvalov palace. This is a small group tour, usually smaller than a maximum of 15 members. Groups of 8 or more will be provided with lunch.

Experience the most visitor-requested sights in St. Petersburg’s historical center on this full-day shore excursion. Designed specifically for those who arrive in the city on ships, which typically stay only one day, the tour provides the most comprehensive itinerary possible for a day’s port of call in the city.

Begin with pickup from the cruise port, river port, or local ferry terminal, and take a city tour to see St. Petersburg’s historical center, with its cathedrals, grand palaces, rivers, and canals.

Enjoy a visit to the fountain park of Peterhof, the one-time imperial residence of Russia’s tsars, and cruise on the River Neva and several picturesque canals to admire the city as it was intended to be seen, from the water.

Take a guided tour of the outside and interior of the stunning Church on Spilled Blood, one of St. Petersburg's most popular and famous sights.

Then, enjoy a break for lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch is provided as part of the tour for groups of eight or more people, and is at your own expense if your group is less than eight.

Visit Palace Square and enjoy a guided look inside the opulent Winter Palace and Hermitage, seeing the highlights of the art collections and rooms of what is one of the world’s greatest museums.

Stroll down Nevsky Prospect, the city’s main avenue, and visit the Fabergé Museum to admire its exquisite exhibits.

After about nine hours, enjoy a transfer and drop-off back at your ship.

We were cruising with Norwegian getaway late august. passed the control easy despite of having some confusing information from the cruise crew. they gave us an impression that we can only disembark without visa if we buy a tour from them which was not true. with $400 US for 2 persons we had a great time in a small group with other people from our cruise ship who also booked with city break tours. both days were full with a lot of places visited. had 2 russian cuisine lunches with nice flavors. great experience for a first visit to Russia

This tour was a very complete overview of Saint Petersburg. you got to see much more than the Faberge collection and the boat cruise. Other places were stunning especially the Hermitage and Peterhof. I was very glad I chose to join a small group tour against going on a half-day trip organized by the cruise ship at approximately the same price... The lunches on both days were great and varied. It would be a shame to visit Russia without trying local cuisine. Tour guide Elizabeth was a great tour organizer. she always kept the group's attention and led us graciously through the crowds in the museums. We had a little time for shopping some souvenirs before returning to the cruise ship and it was cheaper than the ones sold on board. Cannot be happier with this tour!

We had a wonderful time in Russia thanks to Excoor Team. As an experienced traveler I'm always taking small-group tours for me and my husband. We believe touring in a small group is the best way to discover the city in an easy way. Alexandra was our guide and she took care of us during those 2 days. She was following the schedule of the day and we had enough time to enjoy each stop on the way without feeling rushed. Alexandra was very friendly and personable. She always tried to understand what is interesting for us to adjust her pace and speech. We really got to skip the long lines to the museums as guide led us to the special entrance at the designated times. The Hermitage, Peterhof and the Faberge museum were simply stunning. There was a canal cruise, an amazing relaxing experience after a full day of sightseeing. I have to mention the lunches, against my expectations they were delicious and varied on both days. On top of that, I would like to say our driver was excellent too. If I had to go back in time and spend those 2 days in Russia again, I would not have changed a thing. It was marvelous!

Once in St. Petersburg you cannot get outside the ship, in our case, without a guide..... the signs in the city are not in english and few people speak english....We had a great tour guide called Svetlana - Lana, that showed us the best of the city and surroundings....She is an experienced guide, knows a lot about the history and passioned for the job! I definetely recommended this tour!!

We splurged on this private customized tour as Russia is a dream vacation for us and we wanted to do it right. Our tour guide Svetlana is a brilliant young woman, multi-lingual, with an infectious passion for St. Petersburg. Her knowledge of history and the arts greatly enhanced our visit to the Hermitage/Winter Palace, Catherine's Palace, Church of the Savior on the Blood, Alexander Nevsky Lara/Tikhvin cemetery, St. Isaac Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral, beautiful views over the frozen Neva river, Grand Choral Synagogue, The Mariinsky Theatre and the magnificent metro stations (such as Pushinskaya, Ploschad Lenina, and Avtovo). Svetlana took us to a charming cafe Lindfors for chai and coffee, where they have fresh delicious savory and sweet pies. Stop for a hot cup of Sbiten to warm up and get energized for a wonderful tour with Svetlana and the driver Boris who was skilled at finding quick and easy routes throughout the beautiful city of St. Petersburg. All tickets and transport are included, and you will avoid long time consuming queues. Highly recommend Ludmila tours and the tour-guide Svetlana for an incredible overview of a remarkable city

Oksana is an outstanding tour guide, the tour program is well planned and executed. Meal included is excellent with plenty of time to enjoy it. Shopping is planned at a local merchant who carries the best of the best at reasonable prices. The Hermitage is incredible, Oksana did a very fine job of showing us the highlights and covering the history in the time allotted. Try to skip the coat check and use that time for the museum. Coat check in and out eats 30 valuable minutes!!! The sites included are all very beautiful and well deserving of the in-depth history Oksana provided. Be prepared to walk your socks off! This tour and our guide exceeded our expectations. We were provided with a fantastic snapshot of life in St Petersburg as well as visiting the amazing palaces and churches. We sampled Russian food each day and Tatiana was very knowledgeable on art and Russian history.

When first planning our visit to St. Petersburg we considered driving ourselves. We now know this would have been unmitigated madness. The traffic was one big snarl, worse than rush hour in LA, yet the driver was a Ninja who navigated through it like he was passing through invisible wormholes. The group was small so we received individual attention. The guide was charming, interesting and knowledgeable. Everyone was professional and warm. I can give my sincere endorsement!

I don't know what more we could have asked for. Cristina was our guide on our 2 day private tour of St. Petersberg and Boris was our driver. They were great. We saw the usual beautiful sights but I also wanted to experience local food with fewer tourists. We also wanted to minimize the stairs we had to climb. Cristina made all that happen. But one thing struck us as the most important element of using an agency like Ludmila. The entrance lines were incredibly long but Cristina had us just walk in! You can trust them and they trust you (payment not made until the tour was over). If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

We have a wonderful, personalized tour with Polina that took us comfortably from Catherine's Palace to Peterhof in one day, with a nice, long stop for lunch outside Pushkin. The tour operator (Alex) was funny and efficient (bonus points there) and we found the cost very reasonable compared with alternatives. For those among us who didn't go to the expense of visas, it was a perfect way to see the city and environs from our cruise ship. Thanks, Alex, Polina, and Sergei! Our group of 6 truly couldn't have had a better time in St. Petersburg unless Kristina could have come home with us. She was enthusiastic first and foremost and her knowledge stretched far beyond just what we were seeing. The Hermitage was a whirlwind of what she knew we should see and what we really thought we wanted to see. Peterhof was magical, the subway was earthy and her infectious adoration of all things beautiful was only enhanced by the sunshine that we were fortunate to have seen. We can't wait to visit other cities where Alex Tours can help us to see them through very intelligent eyes. Thanks again.
