This tour is by far the best tour I have taken. Maria S, our guide, is a gem. She speaks perfect English and is incredibly well versed in Russian history. She is very kind and has a great sense of humor. Driver Igor S is a hoot. He certainly knows how to get around. He also has a great sense of humor. It was two days of perfection - including the weather!

Great 2 days of touring. Julia was an expert guide with complete knowledge of the sights, best way to get around, rest room locations, etc. We had a small issue with the canal cruise that she handled professionally. This was the best excursion we had on our cruise. Lunches were especially good, authentic, and promptly served.

Great 2-day tour st St Petersburg. Our tour guide Ludmila, was very nice and knowledgeable, explained the history of each place in details. Some areas involved lots of walking, not so good for seniors like us. Overall, it was an excellent tour! Absolutely the best shore excursion we have taken. Guide and the driver were superb. Guided us strategically and we avoided all the queues and crowds. Made the whole experience (intensive though it was) a very memorable 2 days.

Our tour itinerary was awesome and we saw everything that was advertised. I wish our assigned time at the Hermitage hadn't been left to the last stop on the last day, but I know those are assigned so flexibility was limited. Our tour guide Olga was simply exceptional! She had an excellent knowledge of all the areas we visited and supplied local interesting information about culture and life in St. Petersburg. I simply can't say enough supurlatives about how fantastic she was. Made the trip very memorable and well worth the cost.

There were 8 of us in our group plus another 7 for a total of 15 on this small group tour - it was perfect. Our guide, Val, was the EXCELLENT. He knew were to stand to get the best photo shots, angles for viewing and his English was PERFECT! He was so easy to understand and made the life and history of St. Petersburg very interesting - never boring. All 8 of us talked about how great this tour was because of Val. The driver was awesome too. He was always prompt and never kept us waiting. He stayed on the bus so we could leave things on the bus and not have to carry everything when it wasn't needed. It's a busy two days, but 100% well worth it! It was nice to get out into the "countryside" for day two to see the gardens and C Palace. Lunches were good too.

Excellent tour, I really like the ideal of the smaller buses. There were 14 on our tour. Perfect size. Excellent guide, Elena took us on a 2 day fabulous excursion that we could never have anticipated. She was very informative, kept on schedule, and provided exceptional talent in keeping everything organized and our group together without any incidents. The meals provided on both days exceeding our expectation and were very yummy. Highly recommend this tour to anyone able to do 2 days of touring which we were able to on our cruise with 3 nights in St. Petersburg on Norweigian.

This '2 day deluxe' May 2018 excursion by SPB was brilliant. Kate our guide was faultless, She is knowledgeable, personable and always interesting.Everything worked, the itinerary is great given what can be fitted into two days. The small group approach is definitely a winner. Comments from fellow cruisers indicate a clear winner over ship excursions. Highly recommend. Ian.
