A group of 6, mainly Aussies, had a fantastic private tour of St. Petersburg. Our tour guide Mattew and driver Andrew were delightful and so informative. We crammed so much into the 2 days and we saw more than we would have been able to from the cruise ship tours and for so much cheaper. I recommend having this tour totally. A highlight was a dinner we pre - booked at ‘The Tsar’. Magnificent food and service. Chose this private tour rather than going on the cruise ship excursion. Turned out to be a great choice. Tour guide was excellent, very knowledgable on all the art in the museums and all general and historical matters. (We even got a chance to see impressionists in the General Staff ever though it wasn’t in our itinerary)

This was my first time in Saint-Petersburg and I was a little nervous as I came on my own but the minute I arrived, sweet guide Rita was waiting to fetch me at the airport to whisk me off to my hotel. Things just got better from there! Driver alex was the most divine man, always leaping up to open doors and carry luggage. I was in St Petersburg for several days and saw so much, I could barely process it all. Rita’s English is perfect and her knowledge of Russian art and history is astonishing. Rita is not just a charming young woman but she totally brought St Petersburg to life for me. At the Hermitage, we experienced the Throne, Malachite, Gold and Treasure Rooms including fascinating ancient artefacts and diplomatic gifts. Better still, travelling with a tour company means you never ever have to stand in a queue. Those foolish enough not to use them were queuing for three blocks to get into The Hermitage, alone! I even saw the Swan Lake ballet, I was in Russian heaven! Words cannot begin to describe the wonder of it all!

JUST got back from this tour. Alexandra is a great tour guide how she keeps her energy all day long amazes me. Great stop points for pics. Skip the line priority entrances – that’s the best you receive during the tour! Guide and driver were friendly and professional. Highly recommend taking this tour if it’s your first visit of St Petersburg Along the way we were told a lot of interesting facts about history, music, famous people and politics. Any time again, best spent money in this divine city. Thank you
